Local-first by design

Your files stay with you.

Drive Rescue Assistant runs locally. It does not upload, transmit, sell or remotely analyze your files.

THE APP MAY READ LOCALLY

Information needed to do the job

  • Drive names and mount paths
  • Filenames and folder names
  • File sizes
  • Copy, skip, protection and failure information

THE APP DOES NOT INTENTIONALLY COLLECT

Information that stays out of remote processing

  • File contents for analytics
  • Recovered files for remote processing
  • Cloud-account data
  • Automatic support attachments
Reports and diagnostics

Full detail stays local.

The normal extraction report may contain filenames and paths. The separately exported privacy-safe diagnostic is designed to omit paths, filenames and hashes. Review anything before sharing it.

Support opens your browser only.

DRA does not automatically attach or upload a report, diagnostic, filename, path, drive detail or recovered file.

This website

The website does not receive your rescue data.

The support form accepts only the contact and troubleshooting details you type. It has no file upload, and it warns you not to include recovered files, private filenames or paths, full reports, passwords, encryption keys, or drive serial numbers.

Form messages are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and transmitted through Cloudflare to a private support inbox. They are not added to a marketing list or stored in an application database. We have not added analytics, advertising pixels or non-essential cookies to this build.

The hosting provider and GitHub may process ordinary request, security and download logs needed to serve their services. Following a GitHub download or support link is governed by GitHub’s own privacy practices.
